As a book blogger & bookworm, I have many books on my tbr.
My list used to be pretty small before I joined the book community (at about 10 books – I’m not even joking, it was so small – I don’t know how either) but lately I’ve been adding so many books to my Amazon wish list. So!! Many!!
And so today I thought I would just chat through the books on my immediate tbr list and the ones I’m most excited to get to!

Red, White and Royal Blue
by Casey McQuiston

We’re starting out with an obvious one, because I like to follow the hype. Except just a year later than everybody else. Fashionably late as always :)).
The main reason I want to read this one is because of the enemies to lovers trope. After friends to lovers and fake dating, enemies to lovers is my fave trope because when done right it is just so good.
Plus I’ve heard so many amazing things about this one and so I’m really excited to delve into it.
Don’t Read The Comments by Eric Smith

I unfortunately don’t remember who but I saw a book tuber rave about this one and it sounds really good! (I need to think of more describing words you guys – this is why I don’t write that many reviews but need to practice).
The cover is actually so pretty & it seems like it will be quite light-hearted most of the time but also covering some important topics like sexism, racism and trolling.
You Asked For Perfect by Laura Silverman

This book is another one that I’ve heard so many great things about – mostly that it is really relatable, with the main focus being school pressures and anxiety.
I feel like this book will be a stress but I’ve seen so many positive 4/5 star reviews from my fave bloggers.

SLAY
by Brittney Morris
This sounds so good (there’s that word again – someone pass me a dictionary + thesaurus) . a) The cover is so stunning. b) The reviews have all been so full of praise. c) The blurb is so gripping.
Get A Life Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert.
Joel @ Fictional Fates read this one in a recent booktube video and I was sold.
On another note I’m so glad I discovered Joel’s channel because I love his videos!
Running With Lions by Julian Winters.
I just finished How To Be Remy Cameron by Winters and really loved it so I’ve added his debut book onto my tbr list!

Love From A To Z by S.K. Ali

Maybe this will be the book to break the ‘people on the cover = bad book’ cover curse because I’ve heard so many amazing things about this one!
I think I’ll buy a month of Scribd to read this one because there are a few books on there that I do want to read – including the hyped Adam Silvera books like They Both Die At The End.
If I like this one I’ll probably also read Saints and Misfits by the same author because even though I have no clue what it’s about, I have seen plenty of positive reviews.

Dating Makes Perfect by Pintip Dunn

Fake dating?
Yes please.
Can’t wait to read this one!
Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon.

I really wanted to input some commas in the title but whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This one is again enemies to lovers!! Even better, it’s school rivals enemies to lovers. I haven’t read enough of this trope so I’m really excited to get to this one.
10 Blind Dates
by
Ashley Elston

I think I’ll probably save this one for December because it’s set at Christmas time I believe which is great because I love a Christmas contemporary.
There is a person on the cover but it’s actually quite cute so I’m sure it’ll be great!
And that’s all of the books on my immediate tbr list!!
I’m honestly so excited to read all of these and I’m really glad that my reading pace seems to have picked up lately (maybe due to my social media detox last week).
If you’ve read any of these books I’d love to know your thoughts & also do help me decide which to read first!
And also this is off topic but help me decide whether to upgrade my site because I’m kind of considering it just to have aliterarylatte.com?

Oooh hope you love all of these reads!! So many good books I’ve been wanting to get to on this list! I feel like my TBR is overrun with amazing books and I don’t even know where to start!

Same!! It was difficult to choose which to mention in this post haha, let alone choosing which to actually read first!

I also really want to read dating makes perfect! I love read white and royal blue so much!! and I hope you enjoy reading it. You asked for perfect is also so good but it’s also really stressful to read. I hope you like reading all the book!!

Lots of great books on your immediate TBR! 😊 I read Red, White & Royal Blue this year and it was a lot of fun and the romance was great! I also love You Asked for Perfect, but it’s indeed very stressful to read at times 😱

Glad you enjoyed them – I can’t wait to get to them! And yeah I’ve heard it can be quite stressful which is maybe why I’ve put it off. Reading a book about school stresses and anxieties probably isn’t the best idea right before I go back myself haha.

I can wholeheartedly recommend RWARB and Slay! I loved them both so much, and hope you do, too.

ahh, it’s so cool that you have the opportunity to invest in your site!! definitely go for it!! but i have heard that just self-hosting instead of going with a paid plan on WordPress comes with more perks and on top of that, is cheaper. do whatever you want to do though ❤ and i love Love From A to Z so much!! it's such a happy yet important book, i feel like it's a very hard book to dislike lmao

I ended up just going with the WordPress plan for now because self-hosting just seemed so confusing and I’m impatient haha. I’m loving having aliterarylatte.com though and I’m so excited to take this blog more seriously because I feel like I’ve definitely slacked with it lately! Hopefully I can keep the mojo I’m on right now when I go back to school in a couple of weeks though ://
I started Love From A To Z yesterday and I can already tell I’m going to love it. It’s so frustrating reading Zayneb’s experiences though with the teacher & the plane. I hate that this happens.

Ah, I hope you love all of these when you get to them!! I ADORE Red, White & Royal Blue so so much. Which btw is not ~exactly~ enemies to lovers, more rivals. It’s obvious they don’t hate each other haha. And also really like Chloe Brown. I’ve been super excited to read from Rachel Lynn Solomon and also Love From A to Z, You Asked For Perfect and Dating Makes Perfect all sound AMAZING eeeppp

Ooh ok. I definitely need to stop using rivals and enemies interchangeably but I’m excited to get to it! Same for the rest of the books, and I hope you enjoy them too if you do read them!

Wow I totally agree! Before joining the book community my tbr was tiny now it’s 120 books or something ridiculous 😂 I used to always follow the hype for books but I usually read them and end up not enjoying them so now I just read books that I know I’m going to enjoy and I’m loving reading so much more!! Everyone likes different books I guess ❤️ I also really want to read Red, White & Royal Blue so when you get round to reading it let me know if it’s worth trying to find a copy 🙂 Lovely Post and world happy I found your blog! I also LOVE your blog name, it would be a literary iced latte for me 😂

Same same same.
I used to follow the hype a lot and I’d add so many books that I don’t have that much of an interest in, but now I only read a hyped book if I actually want to read it! I’m glad you’re the same too!
I’ll definitely let you know – can’t wait to get to it.
& Thanks so much! I’m glad you like my blog and yess iced lattes are so good too.

i loved running with lions and love from a to z so much! the first one was a lot of fun and i related a lot to sebastian, the main character, as i read this in my senior year and i was struggling too with college decisions and thinking about the future. i’ve read both books by S.K ali and i’d definitely say love from a to z is the best one. saints and misfits is interesting because it follows a girl trying to come forward about an assaulter in her community. it is super unapologetically muslim and all, but i really hated all the side characters and i feel like the pacing was weird too. love from a to z is a lot stronger and i LOVED the characters, so it’s definitely the one i’d recommend you start with!
i also really want to read 10 blind dates and you asked for perfect. hope you enjoy your read of red, white & royal blue more than i did!

I’m really excited to get to Running With Lions – I have a free trial of Scribd and it’s on there (as was Love From A to Z) so I can’t wait! I’m currently in the process of applying to university so that sounds like it will be relatable which is always nice to see.
& I actually did read A to Z at the end of August and I really loved it! I gave it 4 stars and it was such an enjoyable, quick read, whilst also covering important topics. Thanks for letting me know about Saints and Misfits. I think it’s also on Scribd so I might try it if I get round to it but as characters are usually what makes a book for me I’m not sure if I’ll like it!
Hope you enjoy those two if you get to them – hopefully I’ll be able to soon! And yes hopefully, sorry that one fell short for you. It’s quite intimidating though because everyone loved it so much so it has a lot to live up to haha.
Thanks for reading and commenting Lais, hope you’re well! :)x
