6 Of My Favourite Books As Mood Boards!

ft me spending hours on pinterest and calling it productivity :)).

Hey guys! Bet you never thought you’d see two posts from me in a week?? Who would have thought it.
Today’s post is one that I am so excited to write because it combines two of my all time favourite things! Book characters & pinterest. A couple of months ago I read a blog post by Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books which featured the Instagram accounts of her favourite characters which was so fun to read. & I knew that as soon as I got back to blogging (which ended up being a few months later oops) I wanted to create my own aesthetics to represent my faves.
So without further ado, let’s get into it! ♡

** I’d recommend clicking ‘visit’ rather than reading in the WordPress reader!

🕮

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

The Book:
This book series is one of my all-time faves for sure (and the films are shaping up to be the same). Lara Jean is such a relatable character and I just love all the relationships in this book (from family, to friendship, to romance). The question is though – are you Team Peter or John?? I was firmly Team Kavinsky but then I watched the film and I love Jordan Fisher… so.

The Aesthetic:
This book instantly makes me think of pink and pastels so I tried to convey that here? The book is also a perfect summer contemporary so I tried to convey that here!

🕮

Harry Potter

The Books: Again, are we really surprised that good old HP was included?! These books will forever be my favourites, and the wizarding world will always fill me with that sense of happiness and nostalgia. I’m currently rereading the series (I’m at The Goblet of Fire) alongside the Swish & Flick podcast which I highly recommend if you love Harry Potter!

The Aesthetic: I very much went along the Hermione route with this one and I love it! For me the series just embodies coziness and comfort and I tried to create that with the warm tones/knits.

🕮

Six of Crows

The Books: I only just read this duology this year (crazy I know – I’m mad @ me too) but I am

now so!! in!! love!! Each and every character just has my heart and it’s one of the only series where I’ve had such an emotional reaction??

It’s hard to explain but I LOVED it. I want a book 3 please. But I also don’t because I loved the ending and I don’t want it ruined.
One of the two would definitely be my no.1 fave ever. Which is such a bold statement so if you haven’t read them – go do it!!

The Aesthetic: This was the easiest one to create for me because the world building in this duology was so insane & I just adore the whole mood of the book.

🕮

Caraval

The Books: Book 1 was so good. I loved the whole whimsical vibe of Caraval and it was SO twisty. I really predicted none of it. Book 2 was more of the same but BETTER. Tella >>> Scarlett. Book 3 was also really good but a 4 star read for me rather than 5 – maybe because of the absence of a Caraval game?

The Aesthetic: I went for dark and whimsical with this one but Pinterest was not finding me what I was looking for. I still love the soft glow of the lights though and the pops of red.

🕮

Since You’ve Been Gone

The Book:
This is one I really need to reread, along with The Unexpected Everything also by Morgan Matson. It’s just the perfect summer read and I love the to-do list chapter structure.

The Aesthetic:
All the summer-vibes for this one. Ice cream shops, orchards, sunsets, outdoor markets, beaches. What summer 2020 wishes it was.

🕮

Anna And The French Kiss

The Book: Another one that I need to reread because I loved this the first (and second) time I read this book. It’s just so summer-y and cute.

The Aesthetic: To be honest with you – although I do love this book, the main reason I chose it is because I wanted to make a Paris aesthetic. Paris is just the prettiest city and I really want to go there again please.

And that’s all of the mood boards/aesthetics!! I had so much fun making these so I hope you enjoyed reading this post!

How to make the aesthetics:
1. Find your images on Pinterest
2. Put them together using PicsArt
3. Filter with VSCO to make them all match!

Did you like these aesthetics? Have you read the books I mentioned? & Are you as Pinterest-obsessed as me?

YES omg I wish I'd listened to everyone sooner because that series is so insane?! I don't think I'll be shutting up about those books anytime soon because I just adore that cast of characters and the plot and the world building!
